Tom McKenna is the SVP of Global Head of Media and Marketing Operations at Audible, a leader in original spoken-word entertainment and audiobooks. At Audible since 2017, Tom is responsible for driving efficient global member growth leveraging all aspects of awareness and acquisition media. He also oversees Audible’s Global Media Center which focuses on Global synergies and media operations (i.e. MMM, ad tech & key tools), as well as a global center of excellence team driving e-mail and push notifications to reach members and prospects.
Prior to Audible, Tom spent 10 years leading numerous teams at Verizon, in Corporate Marketing and Business Unit roles across B2C and B2B. His experience spanned traditional and digital media for Verizon Wireless, FioS, Hum, go90 as well as Digital Marketing, website design and self-service portals for Verizon’s Enterprise division. He was responsible for implementing numerous company firsts such as a Data Management Platform and the first use of a DSP across Verizon.
Tom started his career in marketing over 25 years ago working in advertising agencies (Bates, MediaCom and Carat) where he led media for numerous clients and categories across confections, pharmaceuticals, gov’t recruiting, baked goods, retail and others.
Tom holds a BS in Marketing from NYIT and resides in Central NJ with his wife and daughter.
